The plate
A face is a locker plate. Open, square, or shut. Not a feeling.
We do not sell curvature. We emboss whether the face points right, on, or left of the intended leave on this limestone, in this air.
Path can look pretty and still be a rumor. Players call a shut plate "a strong fade they meant." The crib calls it a blank that does not match the leave. Junie writes the dew. Ellis writes OPEN, SQUARE, or SHUT. Harlan hangs the plate on the matching locker.
Square plates are boring and that is the crib we pay. Barren River wind will still interview the blank. If the locker says SQUARE, it means we watched the face, not the highlight.
